I was born and raised in Mono Ontario on my parents horse farm where my love for riding began before I could walk. My mother was a barrel racer and had a career racing/ training and owning race horses. I started competition barrel racing ( off the farm) at about 7 years old in local shows with my pony which fuelled my moms love for rodeo again so she bought me my two rodeo horses and at 12 years old we were travelling to rodeos all across Ontario and Quebec. I competed in Barrel racing, pole bending, JR bull riding and breakaway/team roping. My greatest accomplishments were Breakaway roping in St Tite Quebec at the festival two years in a row. I have met many amazing people through rodeo and have had many amazing experiences. I have been blessed to jockey some incredible horses both Roping and barrel racing. Most recent is “Tex” Owned by Dale Timmermans. Tex is a 15 year old black quarter horse gelding. I have rode Tex for 3 years in barrel racing at rodeos in Canada and USA and you might have heard him announced as “ the big black horse “. Now at 23 years old with a family of my own. My fiancé Dan, is a Bull rider and we have a 4 year old son who began riding sheep at 3. We travel to rodeos as a family and we have been apart of the KCD team for 3 years now.
